Ways to live a happy and peaceful life in crucial circumstances!

On some days you might feel high on energy with a great mood. Whereas, on some days, in life, you might feel like pulling the blankets over your head and stay in bed. All of us are struggling with some kind of problems. It may be financial struggles, health issues, work deadlines or relationship difficulties constantly bogging you down.

I might as well call someone a liar if he says ‘my life is perfect.’ No, it isn’t! No one is leading a perfect life. Ups and downs are a part of life and as humans, we have to deal with it. Problems are inevitable in life but the effect of these problems is evitable.

The actual problem starts when you start living with the stress and anxiety in your life. When you don’t take responsibility for yourself and your happiness. When you let negative thoughts fill your mind. When you let fear cripple your inner peace and rob you of joy. When you let all the stress and circumstances in life be a roadblock in your destiny. Every single day is filled with all kinds of situations that could upset you. However, you’re the only person who is responsible for your own happiness. If you let any situation affect you, you’re ruining your peace and tranquillity.

It is possible to stay happy with the rigorous conditions life presents you with. With the right balance, one can achieve that.

Let’s take a look at some of the ways for the same:

  1. Be positive:


 It sure isn’t easy but once you start keeping a positive perspective towards life, things start to fall into place. When you have a negative attitude in life, every little problem feels like an obstacle and you can’t stop yourself from feeling overwhelmed. Which eventually takes a toll on your physical, mental and emotional well being. Being positive also makes you highly optimistic and confident in life. You can start by doing simple things like exercise, meditate, perform acts of kindness etc. Try to look at obstacles as opportunities to learn and grow.

2. Be yourself: 


Right from childhood, much of our life is focused on what other people or society thought we should do. We grew up thinking to meet their expectations or following what others asked us to follow. Be it choosing a career, life partner or doing a depressing job. Much of the things are forced making us sad or feel hopeless. When you stop being someone else just to please others, life becomes so much easier. You cut out stress and tensions from life that arise out of things expected from you unnecessarily.

3. Notice your trigger moments: 


We all have certain tendencies and moments that trigger the stress level in us. Some of us worry too much about the future, some of us fear to fail or some of us tend to regret their actions and feel guilty time and again. If you know what is your ‘trait’ or ‘tendency,’ something can be worked upon it. Just grab a piece of paper, a pen and write it down.

4. Practice acceptance: 


After you’ve noted down your tendencies, you need to accept them. It’s crucial that you don’t judge yourself and embrace who you’re. Such tendencies have known to find existence in your life indicating that certain area of your life needs attention. They’re red signals asking for attention. Once you start accepting your mindfulness, you start noticing when you’re drifting towards stress. You’ve to observe your thoughts and take authority over what you think.

5. Concentrate on your breath: 


This should be the simplest way to allow yourself to stay in the present moment.  It is a powerful way to get hold of your mind. Start taking deep breaths whenever you’re facing a hard time. You should focus on your breath and even count them. Just inhale all the positivity around you and exhale out worries from your life.


6. Be passionate: 


This is the key to stay happy. Why do you ask? Because every time you spend a single second of your life doing something that makes you happy, you contribute to your own well being. When you follow your passion and your hearts deepest desires, you are more likely to stay in the present. You’re more optimistic and appreciative towards life. Just follow your passion and if you haven’t yet, go find it!

7. Have a sound sleep: 


This is one of the most important things. Sleep deprivation not only destroys your health but messes with your mental state. It disrupts your metabolism, makes you overweight, decreases your productivity and hampers your immune system. It also makes you depressed, feel anxious and tired. The list is endless. If you got your sleeping game right then your life is sorted.

8. Meditate, relax and enjoy: 


So lastly, just take a break from work, give yourself time to relax and connect with life. Another best way is to meditate for a stress-free life. A simple, 20 minutes of meditation every day can do wonders. It will calm you down, reduce anxiety and stress. Enjoy your life or rather have a blast, very often. Learn to enjoy moments as you live. Have fun, do what you like and never restrict yourself. Of course, that doesn’t mean overdoing it. Make a balance between fun and work both.
